To Whom It May Concern:


Above is my maiden and current name. I am from the CHS Class of 1959
(one of the first three classes to attend and graduate 
from CHS).


Mr. Ateo P. Leto was the first principal of CHS, a dedicated man
both to good education and to all of us students until his
untimely death in 1959. We have always felt quite privilaged 
and very proud to have had him. As I remember, he wasn't a man
of great stature physically, but to all that knew him, he was
ten feet tall. I'm regretful that his short-lived time at CHS
did not allow so many more of our Chiefs the opportunity to know him. 
I am so pleased that A.P.Leto High School was given the honor of
naming their school after him. When both of my children attended
Leto H.S., I was able to inform them of the great man whose 
name their school bore.

can e-mail me a copy of the "Chieftain", (or mail a couple to
me, I would greatly appreciate it.


By the way, during the birth of the first "Chieftain", 
many names for our first newletter were submitted and
the "Chieftain" was unanomously selected and was submitted by
Janice Mitchell/class of 1959.

If possible, I would like to have a copy of the 
CHS Constitution and By-Laws.
